The weather has been beautiful this weekend and we got out as a family and did a few things. Fireworks Friday, yardwork Saturday, neighborhood parade Sunday and a zoo trip coming up for Monday. On Friday it was so nice and actually ended up getting chilly. Chilly enough that my family wanted some blankets while watching the fireworks.
But the nice weather seems like its giving way to some normal hot and sticky weather. Today is a bit hotter and it sounds like the fourth will be a hot one. Of course nothing like the Western U.S. and Canada have seen. I hope those people are doing OK out there. I’m trying to keep up with my friends who live out there when I can.
I hope everyone has a nice fourth of July tomorrow. Just stay safe with whatever you are doing.
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Monday: Doug DeCinces
- Tuesday: Jim Winn, Bob Kipper
- Wednesday: John Offerdahl
- Thursday: Orlando Mercado
- Friday: Daniel Hudson
- Saturday: Pat Tilley
- Sunday: Tom Lawless
There was a Steel City version of the #twofortuesday this week. It was actually the second one in three week for Pittsburgh. I’m not sure where that came from but apparently this was a section of time when I got a lot of Pittsburgh cards back in the mail.
The other funny thing I noticed at the end of the week… two St. Louis Cardinals. But one was football and one was baseball.
The Preview
Here’s what I have coming up for this week:
- Monday: Junior…
- Tuesday: Ew, Gross…
- Tuesday: Ale, Ale, Ale, Ale…
- Wednesday: King of the Hill…
- Thursday: Snakes on a plane…
- Friday: Reiming and stealing…
- Saturday: Marc my words…
- Sunday: Fuld your laundry…
I don’t have a good pairing for #twofortuesday that I can tell for this week. This wee contains another current player like last week and a current front office person. I’m hoping to get the monthly report for June out during the week too.
Other Notes
This week I had 12 returns. That’s what I would consider the slow side of things with the number I send out. I really thought that if I was going to see returns slow, it would have been a year ago and not in the last few months. But I see others getting plenty back. It always makes me feel like I’m doing something wrong.
Among the returns I had this week, it wen away from just straight baseball which is most of what I’m sending recently. Kelly Miller, Carlos Carson and Jim Everett were among those that I got. I also got some current coaches with Mike Matheny, Phil Nevin and Mariano Duncan as part of my returns.
Have a great week!
