The Story of the Autograph
Tom Donohue is a former catcher in the major leagues. He played during the 1979 and 1980 seasons for the California Angels.
Donohue is a native of Long Island, New York. He went to Nassau Community College and was drafted with the ninth overall pick in the first round of the 1972 MLB Draft. Despite being such a high pick, Donohue spent until 1979 in the minors and made his major league debut for the Angels on April 6, 1979.
In two seasons he played only 122 overall games (84 in the 1980 season). He his .200 with five homers, 28 RBI and seven stolen bases for his career.

Sometimes I find it interesting how a guys with a not so distinguished a major league career can have a more distinguished signature. I really like the look of Tom’s signature, especially that little loop on his “T”. He does a good job using a lot of the card. It doesn’t help though that he has a dark uniform and a busy card on these two.
