So this week a Beastie Boys quote got me into another challenge from @MyPenIsHuge… and this time he even got into as well.
So plan changed mid-week but I am fully in on this one and taking it as far as I can go. I probably be going into next week if I can do. I’m having more fun with this challenge than the last one, only because Beastie Boys are more in my wheelhouse both from an era and an interest standpoint. So while it’s easy enough to make the references, I’ve been listening to the Beastie Boys all week on my commutes for work and I’m loving it.
The Review
Here’s what happened on the blog last week:
- Sunday: Tommy Greene
- Monday: Charlie Kerfeld
- Tuesday: Terry Leach (I got news for you crews you’ll be suckin’ like a Leach)
- Wednesday: Mike Garman (It started way back in history, with Adrock, MCA and me, Mike G)
- Thursday: Joe Morgan (Our manager’s crazy, he always smokes dust, he’s got his own room at the back of the bus)
- Friday: Max Montoya (Just sit back and MAX and relax off the tracks that I kick, come on and give it up)
- Saturday: Mark Grant (I go one, two like my name was Biz Mark)
Again, the backlog is coming in handy for this because all of these are still somewhat recent returns. I put the captions for the challenge next to them above.

All will have Beastie Boys references. I’m pushing this as far as I can go.
Other Notes
Backlog is at 106! It’s now taking me through June unless I change things up a little
Spring Training started coming in, but unfortunately it was failures. I saw others with issues from the Royals and Rangers at Surprise Stadium. I went and check addresses and I feel like there are at least four, and those were just on the stadium’s website. I just sent out an attempt at a new street number for the stadium and we’ll see how that goes.
