Reveiw / Preview – Week of 6/21

TTM Review Preview

I’m going to give you one more bug update this week. The basics though are that it looks like this are done.

I don’t think they got as bad as I remembered it the last time. It was still just as weird as they are some crazy little things, but I was expecting more in my neighborhood. I think though I probably just didn’t see them as much as I could have in other places around me.

But even though they are gone, they aren’t. The dead ones are all over the place and I’ve been sweeping them off decks and patios. And then the carcasses are still stuck to trees and fences and anything they were willing to climb up. It’s kind of gross but they look a little like caramel.

Yesterday I noticed one last think. I mowed the lawn and as I emptied the back of the mower it was amazing how many wings I saw in there. You would think that you wouldn’t notice them in the pile of grass but they are very noticeable.

Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads out there!

Hope you have a great week! Stay safe!

The Review

Here’s what happened on the blog last week:

I had some fun with these this week. I planned the #twofortuesday pretty well with two Angels, two Angels pitchers at that. I think I could have made a Dad joke earlier today and change “Craw-dad” to today. This was actually a week of some pretty strong signatures especially with Mike Smithson and Deron Cherry.

The Preview

Here’s what I have coming up for this week:

  • Monday: The full Monty…
  • Tuesday: I question the way I say it every time…
  • Tuesday: Ernie and…
  • Wednesday: No chance Rance…
  • Thursday: I Nied it…
  • Friday: Mikey B…
  • Saturday: Double D…
  • Sunday: The Castino system…

A couple White Sox will appear for #twofortuesday this week. Other than that, these were some tough names to deal with.

Other Notes

Another meh week (yes, that is a repeat to the start of last week’s post). I had eleven returns this week. That doesn’t count the mail I didn’t get this week. It’s got me going enough that I am starting to put together some information to contact my post office with.

I keep on running through my head that I get just about one letter a day, they say the same things on the front, they are the same size, etc.. How hard is it to have an idea where they are going to go without even looking at what’s written on them. And how would my neighbors get so much of my mail (if that is what is happening) if I don’t really get theirs?

One of my favorite signatures came in this week – Steve Nicosia. He’s got an amazing signature. Other than that I think there were a couple surprises from Don Gullet who I thought I took a chance on but it looks like he signs in cycles and then Mike Henneman who I found in Kansas City with a minor league team.

Have a great week!
